Colorado Shines Professional Development System (all staff must take the following classes: Introduction to CPR/First Aid, SIDS/Safe Sleep, and Preventing Abusive Head Trauma/ Shaken Baby Syndrome) (annually)

Mandatory Reporting of Abuse (annually)

Additionally, each staff member must complete 15 hours of approved continuing education hours within 30 days of being hired, and annually thereafter. This can be completed by taking course online or face to face, and below are recommended sources: (please make sure the classes are approved in Colorado)

At new hire orientation, we will set up an appointment for fingerprinting, that must be completed before an employee can work in a classroom. This appointment will be set up through IdentGo

Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers will also be required to obtain First Aid and CPR certification, within 30 days of employment. We will supply you with a list of approved trainers.
